Palermo Captain Fabio Liverani Aiming To Return In November

Fabio Liverani Palermo are set to travel to Florence this weekend, to take on Fiorentina at the Artemio Franchi stadium.

In the lead up to the intriguing contest, the Rosanero’s injured captain, Fabio Liverani, gave his thoughts on the opposition, as they are a former team of his from a few years ago.

“I do not know if I will be able to travel to Florence, but it is a place that I have great memories from,” Liverani stated in an interview with Radio Blu.

“The Viola recently signed Cristiano Zanetti, a close friend of mine, and someone I grew up with. I think now they have one of the strongest midfields in Italy, in terms of both quality and quantity.

“Zanetti is a great addition to the club, and although he has had a number of physical problems over his career, he is a great signing for them.”

The 33-year-old was finally questioned about his current state of fitness, and when he is hoping to make a return to the first team.

He continued, “My rehabilitation is progressing well, and a return is planned at this stage for around late October, or more probably early November.”
