Porto boss has warned Alex Ferguson to expect a nightmare like the one Jose Mourinho gave him in 2004.

Mourinho was Porto chief when they dumped Fergie’s United out at the last 16 stage and went on to lift the European Cup with a 3-0 win over Monaco.

This time the Red Devils are undisputed favourites and defending champions.

But Ferreira said: “Our attitude would be wrong if we think that it’s impossible to beat United. We have the will to beat the odds and be true to the history of FC Porto.

“I would have picked Manchester United. We were not shocked by the draw.

“If we eliminate United it will be fantastic.”
