Francesco Totti: Four Other Clubs Have Made Offers, But I’ll Extend With Roma

tottii Roma captain Francesco Totti has revealed he rejected offers from four major clubs, preferring to extend his contract with the Giallorossi.

The legendary number 10 is on the precipice of extending his terms with Roma, and he will sign on for the next five years.

However, with his original deal set to expire in 2010, it was inevitable that suitors would line-up.

However, Totti has always remained loyal to his beloved Lupi and claims he was not interested in moving.

“I have had four offers recently. A big Italian club and three foreign sides flattered me, but I will sign the new deal with Roma, all that’s missing is a clause for after my career,” Totti told Rivista Romanista magazine.

Totti has also put off talks about the national team return until a few months before the World Cup begins.

“Italy? I hear from Marcello Lippi every now and then, but there is still time to talk about this. We promised each other that we wouldn’t speak about it until the spring,” concluded ‘Il Capitano’.
