Roma Can Beat Anyone Under Claudio Ranieri – Simone Perrotta

Ranierii Serie A resumes this weekend after the international break, and Simone Perrotta has admitted that Milan will provide a tough test for Roma.

However, he feels that the Giallorossi are capable of beating anyone on their day under Claudio Ranieri, who replaced Luciano Spalletti at the helm earlier this season.

“I believe that, despite everything, Milan are one of the strongest teams in the league,” Perrotta told Il Corriere dello Sport.

“I think the difference is that they have sold a great player like Kaka, and everyone knows that he was key to their game. Then the coach left. Our group remained the same, maybe we have a bit more enthusiasm and a different mentality, and under Ranieri the results have started to come.

“We have to play until the final whistle, we are Roma and we can beat anyone.”

Perrotta also lauded Ranieri, who has come in and implemented his own way of playing the game with success.

“Initially, Spalletti’s departure was a big blow – no one was expecting it,” he said.

“Not just me, but all the lads in this team owe so much to Spalletti. A new coach arrived, with a completely different approach to football, but we are professionals.

“Ranieri was great because from the start he said he understood the rapport we had with Spalletti and that isn’t easy changing coaches.”
