Carlo Backs Milan To Recover
CARLO ANCELOTTI insists former club AC Milan will bounce back under current boss Leonardo.
The Brazilian has had a tough time at the San Siro since being appointed as Ancelotti’s replacement in the summer.
But Ancelotti, who has led Chelsea to the top of the Premier League, is confident Milan will climb the Serie A table.
The Blues boss said: “Let’s not make any drama just because Milan are 11th.
“They are going through a delicate time affected by the sale of Kaka to Real Madrid.
“But Milan have the resources to bounce back and it’s just a time of transition.
“Leonardo has a difficult task but he is surrounded by a great structure.
“The club have confidence in him and you will soon see that he will be able to transmit his ideas.”
Milan have struggled to score goals this term and have hit the net just twice in their last six league games.
Highly-rated striker Alexandre Pato has not scored since the win over Siena in August but Ancelotti is backing the Brazilian to deliver the goods.
He added: “Like any young champion, he has ups and downs.
“This has happened to him in the past but he is the best of Milan.
“No one has his quality, I can attest to that.”
