Milan Director Braida: Trip To Brazil Was Purely For Leisure; Not For Flamengo’s Adriano
There have been reports emerging in the Italian media over the past 24 hours or so, suggesting that the Milandirector’s – Ariedo Braida – recent trip to Brazil was to monitor the progress of the Flamengo star Adriano, who looks certain to rejoin a Serie A club in the next 12 months.
Despite this though, the agent of the player denied these claims, by suggesting that his client would certainly not be leaving the South American club in the upcoming transfer window, whilst Braida himself has also made a statement regarding his trip to the continent.
“I did not go to Brazil to keep an eye on Adriano, or any other players from Flamengo for that fact,” the director explained to a Brazilian media outlet, Lance.
“This is something I do two or three times a year. I have come to stay with some friends, and watch a few matches of the Brazilian championship with them…”
The rumours about Adriano’s potential arrival in Milan are sure to continue over the coming weeks, irrespective of the director’s latest comments suggesting that he was in South America purely for an annual visit.
