Juventus & Manchester City Keen On The ‘New Didier Drogba’
Juventus are following Padova striker Adam Diakite, considered by many to be the ‘new Didier Drogba’.
Bianconeri scouts have been closely watching the 16-year-old hitman. Diakite, who, like Drogba, is from the Ivory Coast, has scored 40 goals in two seasons. The striker has also been granted Italian citizenship, and thus he will not fill a non-EU spot in Turin.
However, signing him will not be easy. Voices in Padova claim English giants Manchester City are keeping an eye on the hitman. In addition, his current club are trying to tie him down on a three-year deal to fend off interest.
In Juve’s favour is the player’s ambition to join them in future.
“It would be a dream to join Juventus. My idol is [Alessandro] Del Piero,” Diakite said.
Juve have not officially confirmed their interest in the teenager.
