Marco Branca: Julio Cesar To Pen New Inter Contract

JulioCesarInter have been quick to defuse the controversy surrounding Brazilian international goalkeeper Julio Cesar and technical director Marco Branca is adamant that the 30-year-old will soon be offered an improved deal.

The goalkeeper’s wife Susana Werner dropped a bombshell on the Italian champions yesterday by claiming on her official blog that his husband has received an important offer from a big club before urging Inter to recognise his true worth “so that he will not be tempted to play elsewhere.”

The interested party are believed to be English giants Manchester United, but the Nerazzurri have now moved to nip any rumours in the bud.

“We are already working to find a solution,” Branca is quoted as saying in La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“His contract will be adjusted. I don’t see any problems and talks are going on in a calm way.”

However, Julio Cesar himself denied these claims yesterday while on international duty with Brazil, insisting he will respect his Inter contract.
