Roma’s Francesco Totti Sweating Over Medical Test Results
His deserved brace helped his club to their third victory of the campaign, which has resulted in them now being just five points off the pace set by Inter and Sampdoria respectively.
Unfortunately for Totti’s sake though, he may be out of action in the coming rounds, as he picked up an injury after scoring his second goal of the contest.
According to the Roma team doctor, Professor Mariani, the talisman hyper-extended his knee in the incident, and at this point, the best case scenario is a 10-15 day lay-off.
“If there are no complications in the tests, Totti will be back on the pitch in around 10-15 days,” the Professor explained to Corriere dello Sport.
Mariani, who was the man to operate on Totti in April 2008 when he injured the same knee, conducted an MRI scan in the hours after the match, which ruled out any major complications.
Totti is expected to have the results in the next 48 hours, so he will certainly be sweating over the eventual outcome until then.
