Palermo’s Fabrizio Miccoli Hails Coach Walter Zenga After Juventus Triumph

Miccoli Palermo stunned Juventus at the Renzo Barbera stadium in their latest Serie A fixture, by accounting for the Turin giants 2-0 earlier tonight.

Two first half goals scored by Edinson Cavani and Fabio Simplicio was all it took for the Sicilian outfit, as they attained all three points for the first time since the opening round of matches.

Despite the solid team performance on the night, the Rosanero skipper Fabrizio Miccoli hailed the efforts of his coach Walter Zenga at the completion of the contest.

“Zenga is a great person and a hard worker, who has earned the affection of the supporters,” Miccoli explained to Sky.

“We needed this win tonight, and although it’s only three points, Zenga has allowed us to play a great game.

“Our performances have been fairly good this season, but the results have not always been there.”

Miccoli was finally questioned about his exclusion from Marcello Lippi’s Italian national team, despite his consistent form over the past couple of seasons.

He added, “The national team? I think that I am now cut off from this, meaning that I no longer have hope.

“I enjoy playing with Palermo, and all I am thinking about is doing well with this club.”
