Ciro Ferrara Disappointed But Not Worried By Juventus’ Defeat To Palermo

Ciro Ferrara Juventus suffered their first defeat of the campaign earlier tonight, when they were accounted for by Palermo 2-0 at the Renzo Barbera stadium, in front of a hostile Sicilian crowd.

Two goals in the space of five minutes in the first half were all it took for the Rosanero, to bring Ciro Ferrara’s unbeaten run with the Bianconeri to an end.

“Nothing worked for us tonight, and there are no excuses. Palermo played better and with more intensity,” Ferrara stressed to Sky.

“I am disappointed with the result, but not worried. Sure it hurts, but we must look ahead.”

Their failure to pick up any points in the fixture means that the Old Lady drop to third in the standings, behind the joint leaders Inter and Sampdoria.

He continued, “Last Sunday we had a small advantage over Inter, now they have one over us.

“Now there’s a break for the international matches, so I will be without many players. When they return though, we will analyse this match, and make sure that we go back to being tough and compact at the back.

“Tonight we made many mistakes, so hopefully we learn from this. We should be very bitter and disappointed leaving Palermo.”
