Pellegrini: Real Madrid Will Not Suffer Against Sevilla Without Cristiano Ronaldo
As Real Madrid prepare for their toughest La Liga match without Cristiano Ronaldo, Manuel Pellegrini has dismissed suggestions that Los Merengues rely too much on the Portuguese wizard.
Ronaldo is out with an injured ankle, having picked the injury up against Marseille. Speaking to AS, Pellegrini said, “Ronaldo is not in a position to play, but we have come up with a plan to compensate.”
“We will not suffer without him. The reason he is not playing is that he has pain in the ankle.
“It has nothing to do with his upcoming international games with Portugal. When I arrived, we tried to implement a style which has already been adapted.
“Therefore, because there are many new people, it might take a little time to perfect.”
