Barcelona President Laporta Pleased After Almeria Win

Laporta1 After watching his side’s latest encounter from the stands, Joan Laporta offered his thoughts.

Pedro’s early strike proved the difference between the two sides in a tight game. Speaking to Sport after the match, Laporta said, “Almeria positioned themselves well, and I am sure that Guardiola will find solutions from this match.”

“Almeria fought hard, but I am pleased. Pep read a tough game very well.

“Hugo Sanchez also did well, getting Chica to mark Xavi.

We were not allowed to play our natural game.”

Laporta was then asked for his opinion on the clash between Sevilla and Real Madrid tomorrow night, to which he diplomatically replied, “This is still the beginning.”

“We are not yet a third of the way into the league, and we need to worry about ourselves, not others.”

Finally, Laporta spoke of Andres Iniesta’s inclusion in the latest Spanish squad, stating, “He will be well taken care of.”

“Hierro and Guardiola have been talking, and Del Bosque will utilise him as suits him best.”
