Inter’s Jose Mourinho Directs Fury Towards Mario Balotelli After Rubin Kazan Red
The coach believes his side were lucky to have drawn, blaming the young striker for causing the rest of the team trouble.
Inter coach Jose Mourinho has directed his frustration towards striker Mario Balotelli, suggesting the forward’s sending off could have cost his side dearly against Rubin Kazan in Tuesday night’s Champions League encounter.
“We risked plenty, and who knows why?” Mourinho told Il Corriere Dello Sport.
“I don’t want to talk too much about the red card. I spoke to him about it in the dressing room and I will speak with him further over the next few days.
“We can play with ten men following a last man offence or a goalkeeper giving away a penalty, but not for other reasons.
“We were down to ten for the last 30 minutes of the game. This result leaves us with our own future in our hands thankfully.”
As Mourinho breathed a sigh of relief, things could have been so different for the Nerazzurri, who continue to struggle in Europe.
