Everton Striker Louis Saha Escapes Three-Match European Ban
It has been confirmed that Everton forward Louis Saha, who reacted to a kick from behind from AEK Athens defender Juanfran by striking the Spaniard in the face, will not miss three Europa League games.
The Frenchman was in line for a three-match ban for violent conduct, but the FA has decided to only suspend Saha for one game. The former Manchester United man will not take part in the Toffees’ trip to BATE Borisov on Thursday.
Saha’s sending off was the only black mark on a comprehensive 4-0 victory in Everton’s first Europa League match.
He will, however, be available to manager David Moyes for Saturday’s Premier League match against Portsmouth.
