Achille Emana Pledges His Commitment To Real Betis
Birmingham City made a late offer to prise the Cameroon midfielder away from the Ruiz de Lopera, but he did not feel that St. Andrews was a big enough step up.
Despite stating this summer that he did not want to play in the Spanish second tier, Emana has now committed himself to helping the club make an immediate return to the top flight.
“I did receive a number of offers from foreign clubs, but they were not interesting enough for me to make a change,” he was quoted as saying by the Correo de Andalucia.
“The rumours can stop now. I have spoken with the club and we have decided to continue working together.
“I will now give everything to help Real Betis return to the Primera Liga.
“Everyone is pulling in the same direction and I am very happy with this decision.”
Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers have previously been linked with a move for Emana.
