Kenyon: I Made Chelsea Great
The club’s ousted chief executive, who leaves at the end of next month after six years at Stamford Bridge, remains convinced the Blues would not be where they are today without his business brain.
Kenyon, speaking in Zurich, said: “When I joined, the two clubs that had constantly won the Premiership title were Manchester United and Arsenal. Chelsea broke that cartel.
“On the sporting front, we became a respected domestic club and a respected European club. Our record on the field led us to be the number one club in the UEFA rankings.
“We have grown the business and doubled turnover. We have a squad that is as good as any and better than most.”
