I Am Not Trying To Make Real Madrid Play Like Barcelona – Manuel Pellegrini

Pellegrine The Chilean tactician knows that there are still improvements to be made.

Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that he is not trying to copy Barcelona’s style of play with los Merengues, as the two teams are completely different.

“I’m not trying to make Real Madrid play like Barcelona,” he announced to
Marca.

“They are two distinct teams, two different institutions, two separate sets of fans and two very different ways of approaching football.”

Los Blancos face Pellegrini’s former team Villarreal on Wednesday evening and while the coach is looking forward to returning to El Madrigal, he is also hopeful of seeing improvements from his side.

“To go back to Villarreal is always a pleasure. I had five years in a super club where I had the opportunity to know the excellent people who ran the institution, to form a team of great players and to complete five exceptional seasons.

“We will try to polish our flaws, with the intention of being a top team that can aspire to do great things.”
