Inter’s Thiago Motta Set To Miss A Month Through Injury
The combative midfielder has been dealt a major injury blow.
Inter midfielder Thiago Motta is set to miss a month of action after tests to his right leg revealed a muscular lesion.
The club have confirmed the examination via an official statement, but though the note doesn’t specify a time scale, Il Corriere Dello Sport claim he will miss four weeks, including games against Napoli, Sampdoria and Udinese, as well as Champions League fixtures against Dynamo Kyiv and Rubin Kazan.
A statement on Inter’s official website reads, “Inter’s medical staff, under the direction of professor Franco Combi carried out the necessary tests on Thiago Motta following the injury he sustained against Cagliari.
“The results show an injury to one of his semitendinous muscles in his right leg. For now the player will continue with a programme of therapy established by the medical staff.”
