I Don’t Have A Problem With Ronaldinho – Milan Coach Leonardo

The boss has played down reports of a rift with ‘Ronnie’.

It is safe to say that Ronaldinho has had better starts to a season than he has enjoyed this term. The Milan playmaker has been lambasted by many for some poor performances, leading to speculation that Rossoneri coach Leonardo had had enough of the Brazilian superstar.

The rookie tactician has, however, dismissed the idea. Instead, he says he wants to concentrate on the weekend’s clash with Bologna as he looks to get the Diavoli’s league season back on track.

“It’s true that Ronaldinho is not doing what he did three years ago,” Leonardo told
Il Corriere dello Sport.

“We are trying to put him and all the others in the best condition possible. I don’t have any problems with him.

“[I want] a good response after the great victory against Marseille,” he continued.

“We cannot play a good match and then play a bad one,” he added.

“We must not lose the organisation that we had in Marseille – we have an identity and we must keep it.”

Despite having the vote of confidence from his coach, if not his president, Ronaldinho is doubtful for Sunday’s game with Bologna due to a fever.
