I Will Not Make Radical Changes To AC Milan – Leonardo

The tactician does not want to unbalance the team by making any big changes.

In a press conference prior to AC Milan’s Champions League tie with Marseille, Rossoneri coach Leonardo has explained that a radical overhaul of his team is not what is needed.

Instead, the Brazilian is eager to have continuity but has suggested that Ronaldinho will be sacrificed for the benefit of the team. While some of the movers and shakers at Milan may wish to have the former Barcelona star at the crux of the side, his woeful performances in recent weeks have worried the coach.

“Ronaldinho? I think the team is what counts,” Leonardo is quoted as saying in
Il Corriere dello Sport.

“Modern football is played in such a way that balance is key. Interpretations can vary, but organisation is the important thing. I am always looking to give my team balance.

“I have two or three questions about [the match] tomorrow, but I will definitely not revolutionise the way the team plays.”

The Rossoneri face Didier Deschamps’ Marseille at the Stade Velodrome at 20.45 CET tomorrow evening.
