Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez Out For Three Weeks With Knee Injury

tevez-medical-man-cityManchester City striker Carlos Tevez will not be in action when the Citizens welcome Arsenal to Eastlands for their Premier League clash this weekend. Reports claim that the Argentine’s knee injury is set to keep him sidelined for the next two to three weeks.

Sky Sports News reports that Tevez is now set to miss not only the game with the Gunners, but also next weekend’s derby with his former club Manchester United, after picking up the injury whilst on international duty for Diego Maradona’s Argentina this week.

There are also fitness doubts about another of City’s South American stars, with Brazilian Robinho heading for a scan later today on his injured ankle.

The forward suffered from the same problem last season, and he has experienced discomfort in the joint again after returning from international duty, with Brazil having, somewhat ironically, played Tevez’s Argentina last week.

Robinho is rated as doubtful for the game with the Gunners this weekend, according to Sky.
