Bayern Munich Hitman Luca Toni Returns To Training

2494740372_5400c9604cBayern Munich head coach Louis van Gaal returned to Germany on Thursday after spending ten days in the Netherlands and got some good news when he returned.

Italian striker Luca Toni, who had been out of action for a number of weeks due to Achilles tendon trouble, returned to regular training action on Thursday and is widely expected to return to the match squad in the not too distant future, the club have stated on their official website.

The experienced hitman will not be part of the squad for Bayern’s upcoming Bundesliga clash against Borussia Dortmund, while the injured Mark van Bommel, Andreas Gorlitz and Martin Demichelis are also unavailable due to various problems.

However, Van Gaal will be delighted with the news that all his men returned from international duty unharmed. The 58-year-old boss will thus pick from a full squad for the meeting with BVB, aside from the aforementioned four players.
