Palermo Striker Edinson Cavani Flattered By Juventus Interest

SOCCER-ITALY/ Press reports in Italy suggest this morning that Juventus are considering a move for Palermo hitman Edinson Cavani to replace David Trezeguet, who will quit the club at the end of the season.

“I read about it in the press, but there has been no contact so far,” agent Pierpaolo Triulzi told

“We are pleased to be associated with Juventus because they’re a great club, we are flattered  by their interest.”

It is suggested that Cavani would cost Juve in the region of €15 million.

“The valuation is up to the club,” explained the representative. “However, it was around €13-15m last year. And should he repeat last season’s results, his fee would increase.

“He is settled in Palermo and loves the city, the fans and the coach. But I can’t say he will definitely stay put in Sicily until June. We’ll see what happens.”
