Roma Fans Write Open Letter To Luciano Spalletti

lucianospalletti275 A section of Roma supporters have written an open letter to coach Luciano Spalletti, who recently resigned his post.

Although Roma lost their first two Serie A matches of the season to Genoa and Juventus, many were still left surprised by Luciano Spalletti’s decision to resign as coach.

It turns out he was very well-liked by most of Roma’s fans, as the Associazione Italiana Roma Club wrote a heartfelt open letter to the coach.

“As in all great stories this one also has an epilogue, but this time the story is without a happy ending,” it reads. “Your goodbye, or perhaps your ‘see you again’, to the Giallorossi colors has shaken us and moved us at the same time.

“As a real man you did not wait to be dismissed, but chose to resign, to not make an already complex situation worse.

“In all these years we have gotten to know you. Since our first meeting at Castelrotto, four years ago, we have appreciated you for your human and professional qualities. It didn’t take long for us to realise you would make Roma great again.

“With the right attitude, professionalism and work ethic you managed to rebuild a group and give it the right motivation. Even with limited economic resources, you made the team play well and in a way that made the whole of Europe envious.

“Thank you for giving us the record of eleven consecutive victories, the Coppa Italia and Italian Supercup victories, thanks for the emotions you made us experience in the Champions League. And heartfelt thanks for your infinite availability and grace.

“We lose a great coach, it’s true, but not a true friend. The best of luck Luciano!”
