Juan Sebastian Veron Impressed With New-Look Inter

Juan_Sebastian_Veron The Argentine believes his former club have successfully survived the shock of Ibrahimovic’s departure.

Estudiantes de La Plata star Juan Sebastian Veron has lavished praise on his former club Inter after Jose Mourinho’s men swept away city rivals Milan 4-0 in last weekend’s Derby della Madonnina.

Fellow Argentine Diego Milito stole the show on the night and Veron is confident that ‘El Principe’, along with Cameroonian Samuel Eto’o, will soon replace the departed Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the hearts of the Nerazzurri fans.

“I enjoyed the Derby on television and I have to say that the Nerazzurri had a wonderful game,” Veron told Sky Sport Italia while on international duty with Argentina.

“They dominated Milan and Inter president Massimo Moratti’s new signings all seemed to be top-notch. I had fun. Without ‘Ibra’, Inter have now two strong strikers like Milito and Eto’o, who will certainly do well.”

Argentina host Brazil in Rosario on Saturday in a crucial World Cup qualifier.

“Anticipation builds as the hours go by and we want to give the Argentine fans an important win,” concluded the 34-year-old.
