Wes Brown & Peter Crouch Recalled To Fabio Capello’s England Squad

100px-England_crest_2009.svgTottenham Hotspur striker Peter Crouch and Manchester United defender Wes Brown have both been named in the England squad named by Fabio Capello this evening, for the forthcoming friendly with Slovenia and World Cup qualifier with Croatia at Wembley.

There is no David James amongst the goalkeepers, with Portsmouth manager Paul Hart revealing today that the player had “bone bruising” on his knee to Sky Sports, though he has been strongly linked with a move to Spus in recent days.

Wes Brown reappears amongst the defenders, having not played for England for over a year, and Peter Crouch is included after scoring his first goals for Spurs this week. There is no Michael Owen.
