OFFICIAL: PSV Sign Jagos Vukovic On Loan

PSV The Serbian defender will strengthen PSV’s back four for the remainder of this campaign.

Eindhoven side PSV have completed the loan signing of Serbian defender Jagos Vukovic from RAD Belgrade. The 21-year-old will now ply his trade in the Eredivisie until the end of the 2009-’10 campaign.

The Eredivisie giants were eager to strengthen their defence before the end of this transfer window due to the expected departure of Mexican centre back Carlos Salcido.

“I’m extremely happy with this transfer. PSV are a big club and I’m looking forward to make an impact here. Some illustrious Serbians have played at the club before me,” reacted Vukovic on PSV’s official website.

“I’m not the type of person who has a big mouth. I prefer to prove my worth for the team with good performances on the pitch. I never expected to make a transfer this big,” added the youngster.

Meanwhile, PSV have made the decision not to offer Brazilian youngster Atila a contract. The defender was on trial at the Eindhoven side, but head coach Fred Rutten was not impressed with his abilities.
