OFFICIAL: Feyenoord Sign South African Youngster Mokotjo

The Rotterdam outfit have signed yet another promising South African.

Eredivisie giants Feyenoord have completed the transfer of South African midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo from SuperSport United for an undisclosed fee.

The 18-year-old was on trial at the Rotterdam outfit earlier this summer and impressed Feyenoord’s technical staff with his abilities. The Eredivisie side consider Mokotjo as an important player for the future.

Feyenoord will farm the South Africa Under-20 star out on loan to Eerstedivisie side Excelsior for one season, in order to let him gain first team experience.

Mokotjo is the second South African player at Feyenoord, after Kermit Erasmus (pictured). The latter has also send out on loan to Excelsior for one season.

Meanwhile, Feyenoord haven’t secured the services of Serbian midfielder Stefan Babovic just yet. The highly rated midfielder will most likely join Feyenoord on a one-year loan deal, but they have not yet reached an agreement with Nantes, the Babovic’s current club.
