Samuel Eto’o: I Won’t Score, But Inter Will Beat Milan

ITALY SOCCER INTER ETO The Cameroon international can’t wait for tomorrow night’s big kick-off.

Inter striker Samuel Eto’o is confident his side will emerge victorious from their derby showdown with Milan on Saturday night.

The stellar signing from Barcelona has talked up the potential of his new team. Having settled down, Eto’o is full of enthusiasm for the first big game of the season. The Cameroon international believes his side will win, but he cannot see himself getting on the scoresheet.

“I hope the derby will be full of great play and happiness for the fans. With all respect for Milan, we will win,” Eto’o told
La Gazzetta Dello Sport.

“I don’t think I will score, but I can say that Inter will beat Milan.”

The Nerazzurri have been drawn with Barcelona in their Champions League group, but Eto’o thinks the Catalans are ahead in terms of quality.

“Barcelona are unique. To get close to them we have to win a great deal. However, we are working to do that,” added Eto’o.

“We are moving in the right direction and we have [coach Jose Mourinho] – if you can’t win with him, then it will be difficult to win with someone else.”

Wesley Sneijder is the
trequartista Mourinho spent all summer looking for. Eto’o has hailed the Dutchman’s arrival from Real Madrid, claiming he will help in the hunt for trophies.

“Good, good, good. He is the No.10 we wanted. He will take some free kicks, so will I, and maybe [Mario] Balotelli,” concluded the hitman.
