Kevin Prince-Boateng has completed a switch from Tottenham Hotspur to Portsmouth today, on a busy day for Pompey boss Paul Hart in the transfer market, that has seen a clutch of players move to Fratton Park in the last 24 hours.

The 22-year-old has signed a three-year deal and moves on an undisclosed fee, and his new manager was delighted to welcome the former German youth international, who has dual nationality and holds Ghanaian citizenship too, to the club.

“Kevin’s a good player and I’m thrilled that we’ve managed to get him here,” Hart told the club’s official website

“He’s a young player who wants to prove something. Like all the players we’ve brought in, he’s got something to prove.

“He’s got tremendous ability and hopefully we can provide the environment to channel that.”

Boateng moved to Spurs in 2007, but has never really managed to settle at White Hart Lane and spent the second half of last season at Borussia Dortmund.
