Cesc Fabregas Out Of Arsenal’s Clash With Celtic

The Gunners captain is set to miss the second leg of the ‘Battle of Britain’.

Cesc Fabregas will sit out tomorrow’s Champions League play off clash with Celtic at the Emirates after it was confirmed via the club’s official website that the Catalan midfielder was not in the squad to play in the crunch match.

The 22 year-old injured his hamstring during Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Portsmouth and must now be considered a doubt for this weekend’s visit to Manchester United.

Aaron Ramsey, who came on for Fabregas against Pompey, could be set for his first start of the season against the Hoops as part of the Gunners’ new 4-3-3 formation.

Tomas Rosisky, Theo Walcott, Lukasz Fabianski, Samir Nasri and Johan Djourou will also be absent against Tony Mowbray’s side.
