Cardiff City have completed the loan signing of Kelvin Etuhu from Manchester City, beating competition from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Portsmouth to do so.

The deal was completed in time for Etuhu to be available for Cardiff’s Sunday fixture against Bristol City.

“We are really pleased to get Kelvin,” manager Dave Jones told Cardiff’s official website.

“He’s a Premier League player coming into the club. It looked like he was going to Wolves, but there was a hitch and we stepped in to bring him here,” he added.

“He’s a big, pacey lad who will give us options across the front line.”

Etuhu, the younger brother of Fulham defender Dickson, will be also be available for Cardiff in cup games, unless they play against Manchester City.
