Glasgow Rangers Eye Juventus’ David Trezeguet

Italian reports are claiming Rangers are seeking Trezeguet, but the transfer is highly unlikely.

Juventus striker David Trezeguet is being tipped to join Scottish Premier League side Glasgow Rangers, according to Tuttosport.

Rumours surrounding the hitman have been rife, and the Bianconeri have always maintained that they could sell him if an offer meets their €10 million demands. The report suggests the Scottish club are sniffing around for the hitman, who had his fair share of injury troubles last season.

Despite the claims, Trezeguet’s agent, Antonio Caliendo, said that his client will be staying in Turin and that ‘Trez’ is happy to continue his marriage with the Bianconeri.

In addition, voices in Italy suggest the hitman is not keen on moving to Scotland, preferring to stay with Juve to fight for the Scudetto and Champions League next term.

Furthermore, Trezeguet has turned up for pre-season training. The Bianconeri have begun their pre-season retreat at Pinzolo, where they were greeted by thousands of fans who were eager to get a glimpse of Brazilian ace Diego.

Despite the reports of Trezeguet leaving for Rangers, such a transfer is highly unlikely, and as yet, none of the interested parties have been moved to comment on the speculation.
